Alicia Gutowski has studied violin and piano since the age of 5. She received her music degree and teaching certification from Wayne State University, with a minor in Fine Arts. She has taught band and orchestra in public and private schools for 10 years. During her earlier years of training, Alicia spent summers at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and Interlochen. She also played and toured with Blue Lake International Orchestra in Germany and Austria. Alicia and her husband moved from the Detroit Metro Area to Traverse City in the Fall of 2018. Since then, she has been playing with the Benzie Community Symphony, Leelanau Reading Orchestra, and ensemble music for Immaculate Conception, Traverse City. Alicia has been teaching private violin and piano lessons for over 20 years.
